The Bali Land Transportation Polytechnic (Poltrada Bali) proudly represented Indonesia in the “Group and Region-Focused Knowledge Co-Creation Program for JFY 2023,” organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The program took place at the JICA Tokyo Center, Japan, from January 10 to February 8, 2024, and focused on Comprehensive Urban Transportation Planning.
Poltrada Bali was represented by Ir. Aris Budi Sulistyo, S.T., M.T., who participated as a lecturer and Head of Research and Community Services under the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. During the program, he presented a case study titled “Accelerating Sustainable Urban Mobility for Green Zone Tourism in the SARBAGITA Metropolitan Area”, highlighting Indonesia’s commitment to developing eco-friendly transportation systems, particularly in tourism-driven regions like Bali.
The JICA program brought together transportation experts and professionals from various countries to exchange knowledge and strengthen cooperation in tackling urban mobility challenges. Through a series of lectures, site visits, and interactive workshops, participants explored best practices in urban transportation planning, including public transport integration, infrastructure development, traffic demand management, and sustainable mobility strategies.
